Chuck Sparks, mail service supervisor at Elon, was recently appointed to the Mail Technical Advisory Committee for Postal One by the United States Postal Service.
Postal One software impacts the Business Mail Acceptance of large quantities of discounted mail as well as the ability to track mail through all mailing processes. Sparks is representing the National Association of College and University Mail Services.
Sparks’ primary responsibility will be to assist the Postal Service and the mailing industries have a formal exchange of technical ideas for the lifecycle of the Postal One software with a focus on Postal One’s impact on college and university mail operations. The committee will also assess the current standards for mail preparation and develop new mailing standards as new technical advances evolve. The appointment is for two years.
