Elon has been named one of the nation's top universities in a PARADE magazine survey of high school guidance counselors across the country.
The magazine’s editors asked high school counselors to recommend outstanding schools that provide a truly exceptional education but that might not attract as much attention as Ivy League universities.
Elon was cited as one of the country’s top private colleges and universities. The Aug. 22 article noted private schools encourage more contact between professors and students, which can lead to job opportunities after graduation.
PARADE magazine has a circulation of 32 million readers and is the most widely read magazine in the United States. The magazine is carried by more than 530 newspapers and reaches more 74 million Americans each week.
