Lauren Kearns, associate professor of dance and head of the dance program, has been invited to tour her dance piece Swinging on a Bench in the 2010-2011 NC Dance Festival Tour. The tour travels to five cities throughout the state opening September 18 at Robinson Hall, UNC Charlotte and closing February 5 at the Wilmington Cultural Arts Center. As this is the 20th anniversary of the tour, additional outreach and master classes have been added. Kearns hired two senior dance majors, Kara Griffin and Bill Commander, to perform in the tour. Both dancers will get excellent professional touring experience and will also assist Kearns in the master classes she will teach.
