Matthew Buckmaster, assistant professor of music and education, was recently invited to adjudicate the 2010 Mid-State Marching Band Invitational at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn.
Buckmaster evaluated 35 marching performances on Oct. 30 for both visual and musical elements. Buckmaster was also asked to adjudicate bands at the Central Carolina Marching Festival at Western Alamance High School in Elon for the second year in a row. Twenty bands from across the state performed on Oct. 16 and were adjudicated in the categories of marching, music and general effect.
