In a panel discussion about marginalized bodies in the classroom, Troy Martin, assistant director of academic advising, presented a paper at the American Educational Studies Association (AESA) conference in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 28.
Martin’s paper was titled “Surfacing Pain: ‘Superpower’ without Representation,” and explored social and theoretical frameworks of students with chronic illness and persistent pain.
