Elon students host renewable energy entrepreneurs

Elon entrepreneurship students hosted the visit of the founders of Texas Natural Resources, LLC to the Elon University on October 25.

The students participated in discussions regarding commercialization of technology with Lee Palles, chief financial officer; Milton Young, senior vice president of global markets; and Mark Mitchell, senior vice president of government markets.

Texas Natural Resources was formed to license, manage, own, develop and operate renewably fueled primary energy infrastructure projects starting with an 18-pump offshore modular platform using SEADOG® Pump technology. In 2010, the company will launch by installing and operating the first offshore modular platform in the Gulf of Mexico at Freeport, Texas.

The visit was sponsored by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
