Lauren Kearns, Associate Professor of Dance and head of the dance program is teaching a master class in Somatics in Action (a modern dance technique she is developing) to students at Appalachian State. The master class is sponsored by the NC Dance Project and the NC Dance Festival. Kearns dance company is also performing at the Valborg Theatre on Thursday evening. Kara Griffin and William Commander, senior dance majors, are assisting Kearns with the master class and are also performing for her company.
