The Burlington Kiwanis Club named Richard Parker '80, owner and manager of B.C. Parker Real Estate, its 2010 Citizen of the Year. Parker received the award - the 60th the club has bestowed - at a banquet on Dec. 2.
Parker has run B.C. Parker Real Estate since his father, the company’s founder, died in 1989. In addition to growing the business significantly over the past 20 years, Parker has served the Alamance County Community through the Kiwanis Club, the Burlington Housing Authority and most recently the Burlington Planning and Zoning Board.
