A couple of weeks ago, @Elon asked you to share your favorite holiday recipes and holiday memories. From funny stories involving siblings and friends to how to make "Goat Balls," here's what you told us.

The holidays are an opportunity to be with family and loved ones. But for many students who cannot make it back during those times, faculty and staff provide them with a home away from home.

Through a special Facebook project, many members of the Elon family have written personal tributes to those who bring light into the our community. Read what they have to say, watch a special video to get into the spirit, and then leave your message. Pranab Das, professor of physics, has been named to the International Board of Advisors of the John Templeton Foundation.

From the Charlotte Observer (11/23/10): In an important test for North Carolina's recently revised public records law, a judge on Monday ordered the city to release documents outlining the suspensions and firing of former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Marcus Jackson.

Students led by associate professor Linda Sabo and Haidee Dollak, university accompanist, performed on Dec. 3 for two assemblies at Smith Elementary School in Burlington, N.C.
