Fall CSC420 Game Programming

On December 14, 2010, five teams from CSC 420 Game Programming and Computer Graphics displayed the games that they specified, design, implemented and tested during the fall semester in Professor Duvall's class.

Teams fine tune their games in Carpenter Lab before final presentations.

Each team presented for 20-30 minutes to explain the rules of their game, to highlight some of their key design decisions in making the game and to  give a live demonstration.  The first team of Adam, CeCe, Hillary and James demonstrated their game called Hell Week. Hillary was at the keyboard to show how to get a high score defeating falling letters in a mini-game within the game. The second team of David, Jamie, Kevin and Nestor showed their arcade style game called Time Flies. Jamie described the UML of 22 classes  designed and implemented to provide a flexible and extensible architecture. The third team of Dan, Louie and Steven presented their game called Gradient. Louie showed his game mastery by beating the last level using gravity and reverse gravity. The fourth team of Amanda, Andrew, Courtney and Kyle demonstrated their two player game called Hacker V Hacker. Amanda took on Courtney and they played to a thrilling tie as they both equally spread their viruses across the Internet. Finally, David, Joe, Leanna and Rob displayed their game of Lab Rat Escape!. The game had over 50 levels and Leanna showed many of the hidden features.
