Henry Gabriel presents on international law, food security, and agricultural finance

Elon Law professor Henry Gabriel recently spoke at the World Bank Roundtable on Responsible Agricultural Development in Washington D.C on UNIDROIT's Role in Food Security and Agricultural Finance. He also spoke at the International Law Institute in Washington D.C. on The Proposed UNIDROIT Protocol on Agricultural Equipment Finance.

As an elected member of the Governing Council of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), Gabriel attended the Governing Council Meeting in Rome this summer. He also attended the drafting group meeting for the UNIDROIT Principles on International Commercial Law, a group for which he is also a member.

Gabriel also represented the State of North Carolina as a law commissioner at the annual meeting of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws in Chicago this summer. At the conference he chaired the Committee for the Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Use of Electronic Messaging in International Contracts.

Gabriel recently completed the annual update on his treatise on Sales Law for Matthew Bender Publications.
