Omri Shimron, assistant professor of music, will present a lecture-recital Saturday, March 5 at the Mid-Atlantic Chapter meeting of College Music Society at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
The presentation is entitled “Persian Poetry Meets an American Composer: Five Reflections on the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (2009) by Christopher Dietz.”
Omri gave the world premiere of this work earlier this year as part of a piano recital in Elon’s Whitley auditorium.
