Founders Day Trivia Competition: Question for March 8

A week-long trivia contest that tests knowledge of Elon University’s history is now in its second day with a chance for students, faculty and staff to win gift cards and prizes from local businesses. Read this story to learn more and to qualify for a gift card prize from the Student Government Association.

Each weekday from March 7-11, 2011, a new question will be posted on E-Net before 10 a.m. All Elon students, faculty and staff are welcome to submit one answer to foundersday@elon.edu, and at the end of each day, all correct answers will be pooled and a winner chosen at random.

A special College Coffee and tree planting is set for Tuesday, March 8, and a special chapel program will be held Thursday, March 10, to honor the life and legacy of this year’s honoree, Dr. T.E. Powell ’19, who founded Carolina Biological Supply Company.

For help finding the answers to the trivia questions, visit a display in the Moseley Center on Powell’s life and legacy. Answers may be submitted until 6 p.m.
