Founders Day Trivia Competition: Question for March 10

A week-long trivia contest that tests knowledge of Elon University’s history is now in its fourth day with a chance for students, faculty and staff to win gift cards and prizes from local businesses. Read this story to learn more and to qualify for a gift card prize from the Student Government Association.

Each weekday from March 7-11, 2011, a new question will be posted on E-Net before 10 a.m. All Elon students, faculty and staff are welcome to submit one answer to foundersday@elon.edu, and at the end of each day, all correct answers will be pooled and a winner chosen at random.

A special College Coffee and tree planting was held Tuesday, March 8, and a special chapel program will be held Thursday, March 10, to honor professor Thomas E. Powell ’19, who founded Carolina Biological Supply Company.

For help finding the answers to the select trivia questions, visit a display in the Moseley Center on Powell’s life and legacy. Answers may be submitted until 6 p.m.
