Batchelor presented a paper titled "Walking the Talk: Teaching Toward Living a Philosophically Informed Life," at the University of North Texas in Denton.
The conference–A New Practice of Philosophy: Taking Philosophy Beyond Disciplinary Bounds–included an international array of scholars who gathered to consider the future of philosophy in the academy.
In addition to Batchelor’s contribution regarding innovative pedagogy, much of the conference was focused on the contribution that philosophy can make to interdisciplinary research teams who are funded by NSF or NIH grants.
