Joel Hollingsworth and Dave Powell gave a three hour workshop at the 42nd Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) on March 11th in Dallas, Texas.
The workshop’s title was “Developing an Android Mobile Application for the Google App Engine Cloud”. The first two hours of the hands on workshop had attendees build a standalone Android mobile phone application and three Google Cloud Web Services. During the third hour, the attendees web enabled the mobile application to use the cloud web services. Approximately 50 faculty from universities across the United States attended the workshop.
