Three staff members were honored May 27, 2011, in McCrary Theatre during Elon's annual Staff Appreciation Day. Bob Willis was named Physical Plant Staff Member of the Year, Kay Riddle was named Office Staff Member of the Year and Sandra Fields was named Administrative Staff Member of the Year.
Elon President Leo M. Lambert presented the awards to each recipient.
Willis is an electrical supervisor for the university. Riddle worked as a student account specialist in the Bursar’s Office and retires from Elon at the end of the spring. Fields serves as assistant to the president.
The 2011 staff day program included a performance by nationally acclaimed ventriloquist Steve Brogan of Locust, N.C.
