Katherine Gilliam-Ruffin Pinson ’81 honored by Virginia Military Institute

Katherine Gilliam-Ruffin Pinson '81 received the Virginia Military Institute Distinguished Service Award, the highest recognition given to a civilian working at the Lexington, Va., school.

Pinson, who has worked at VMI since 1999, is an administrative assistant in the institute’s U.S. Army ROTC program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services and psychology from Elon and lives in Lexington.
