A Truth and Reconciliation Commission was convened in 2003 in response to the November 3, 1979, “Greensboro Massacre” when five persons were killed and others seriously injured during a neighborhood civil rights demonstration. Panel members discuss the work of the Greensboro Commission, its effectiveness and its implications for replication in other places throughout the world.
