Staci and Suzanne Scott, both junior accounting majors from Cayman Brac, were recently awarded scholarships to continue pursuing their degrees in accounting.
Staci received a scholarship from KPMG while Suzanne received one from PricewaterhouseCoopers. Both scholarships offer financial support at the degree and CPA levels, as well as paid internships next summer and full-time positions with their companies after graduation.
“The scholarship is a huge blessing,” said Staci Scott. “I no longer have to be concerned with rising tuition costs or funding my own CPA exams. I can concentrate fully on my studies during my last and most critical years of undergraduate education.”
Suzanne added, “Having a guaranteed job at the end of my studies is one of the most important benefits of my scholarship.” She looks forward to gaining “tremendous knowledge and experience” working with PwC.
After graduating from Elon in May 2013, Staci and Suzanne plan on returning to the Cayman Islands to work for their respective companies and become CPAs.
