Kearns, Green and students to perform original dance piece in France

Professors Lauren Kearns and Karl Green in the Department of Performing Arts and their team of dynamic students have been invited to present Kearns' original piece, "End Game," in late March during La Semaine de la Danse (The Week of Dance) at La Manufacture Dance Center in Aurillac, France.

Elon was the only American university to invited to participate in this prestigious event.

The Elon students who will attend are: Mathew D’Amico ’13, Colette Dong ’14, Carly Flynn ’13, Elyse Keim ’13, Helen Phelan ’13, Lauren Renck ’13, Meaghan Wagner ’13, Kathlen Yahner ’13 and Taylor Aucott ’14.

The festival involves professional choreographers and dance companies as well as university dance companies. Green will present his costume for dance research and costume design workshop, and Kearns will lead three dance workshops and present her creative research. In addition to attending the festival, the Elon students and faculty will spend three days in Paris touring art museums and enjoying a private Paris dance history tour from noted dance historian Marisa Hayes.
