Women’s Law Association 4th Annual Barbara Sullivan 5k Race for Women’s Health – March 10

The Women’s Law Association (WLA) at Elon University School of Law will host its fourth annual Barbara Sullivan 5k Race for Women's Health on Saturday, March 10, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Northeast Park in Gibsonville, North Carolina (check in begins at 8:30 a.m).

All proceeds from the race will be donated to Alzheimers North Carolina, a statewide non-profit dedicated to the care and education of Alzheimer’s Disease patients, their families and their healthcare providers.

Registration is available here for Individuals, Teams (of 4) and Dogs. Prizes are available for the winners of each category and registration includes a free t-shirt. Please, register before February 15 to ensure your free t-shirt is available on the day of the race.Registration closing date is March 8, 2012.

WLA is a student-run organization at Elon Law, supporting educational, professional, and personal development for all individuals concerned with women’s issues and the law by sponsoring professional, philanthropic, and social events.

The race is named for the mother of former WLA member Ann Sullivan, who lost her life to a brain tumor. Every year, WLA honors other members of its association and their families by donating all of the proceeds of the race to health issues that have affected them.
