The NC State Sustainable Energy Conference, for the first time, offered a session on energy use in our food system.
Steve Moore, from the Environmental Studies department, was asked to present on “Energy use in Conventional, Organic and Sustainable Food Systems.” The audience was large and engaged. It was exciting to see the growing interest in food, and specifically local foods and sustainability.
