In response to recent events in the Middle East, especially the outcry over the film “The Innocence of Muslims” and the attacks on American diplomatic personnel in Libya and elsewhere, the Middle East Studies program is sponsoring a roundtable discussion of the issues on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6-7 p.m. at KOBC 101 (LaRose Digital Amphitheater).
Professors Sarah Salwen and Laura Roselle (Political Science), Michael Pregill (Religious Studies), and Shereen Elgamal (Foreign Languages) will speak briefly on various aspects of these events, with presentations to be followed by discussion and Q&A.
Jason Kirk (Political Science) will moderate.
