Business Fellows visit New York City

Twenty-two Business Fellows, four faculty members from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, and two staff members from the Student Professional Development Center traveled to New York City to visit various business firms and the New York Stock Exchange September 20-22 as part of an annual fall Business Fellows trip.

All students visited the New York Stock Exchange. Management, marketing and entrepreneurship students were hosted by Grand Central Partnership, Iconix, Omnicom, Forbes, and David Beheam Design. Finance, accounting and economic students visited Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, BNY Mellon, and Bloomberg. During these visits, the students gained knowledge of the different businesses and learned of possible career opportunities.

The group also attended a reception at The Metropolitan Club with local alumni and President Lambert in attendance. The event was hosted by the Elon University Alumni Association.

The fellows were accompanied by Wonhi Synn, chair and professor of finance; Neeraj Gupta, assistant professor of finance; Kevin O’Mara, professor of management; Sharon Hodge, associate professor of marketing; Jane Mehringer, associate director of career services for the Love School of Business; and Sarah Thomas, associate director of corporate & employer relations for the Love School of Business.
