LSB Alumni Panel Discussion – Oct. 19

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business will host its annual Young Alumni Panel Discussion on Friday, October 19 at 4:00 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre, Koury Business Center.

Alumni will share how they leveraged their Elon experiences during the job search process.

Panelists include:

Alex Dempsey ’12, advisory associate, PricewaterhouseCoopers

Alex graduated from Elon with degrees in accounting and finance. During his college career, he was a member of several honor societies including Omicron Delta Kappa (leadership) and the Order of Omega (Greek leadership). Alex was also involved in the service organizations Habitat for Humanity and Students Helping Animals Regain Equality (SHARE), Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, the Business Fellows program, Beta Alpha Psi and the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Research Challenge. He worked as a student ambassador in the Porter Family Professional Development Center and completed internships with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Haverford Trust Company.

Grace Foster ’12, corporate analyst, JP Morgan Chase

While at Elon, Grace, an economics and pure mathematics major, was involved in Sigma Kappa sorority serving as vice president of finance, Elon’s Honors Program, and Catholic Campus Ministry. She completed internships with Studley, Inc. in Philadelphia, as well as Credit Suisse in North Carolina. Grace served as president of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the economics honor society, and was a member of the mathematics and political science honors societies, Pi Mu Alpha and Pi Gamma Mu. Her honors thesis, “The Effects of Single-Sex Education on Short and Long Term Extracurricular Participation,” was named best paper of the undergraduate sessions at the 2012 Midwest Economics Association annual meeting.

Jennifer Small ’12, associate district manager, ADP

Jennifer, a marketing major with a concentration in sales, was a member of Elon’s Sales Team and placed third in the reverse job fair event at the 2012 World Collegiate Sales Open hosted by Northern Illinois University. During her college career, she was involved in the Business Learning Community, Delta Delta Delta sorority and Residence Life. She completed internships with the National Student Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. and with 919 Marketing in Raleigh, N.C.

The panel will be moderated by David Brown ‘13.
