Bernadette Spong ’78 G’07 P’09 P’10, CFO of Rex Healthcare, was recently named to the Becker's Hospital Review list of "120 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know."
The annual list includes women who demonstrate outstanding leadership within the hospital and healthcare industry. They were chosen based on a wide range of management and leadership skills, including oversight of hospital or health system operations, financial turnarounds and quality improvement initiatives.
Spong, a certified public accountant, has served as CFO of the 660-bed Rex Healthcare since 2005. She serves on the boards of many local organizations, including Elon University’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Board of Advisors.
