D.C. Chapter National Networking Event – Jan. 29

The Elon Alumni Association is sponsoring National Networking Week January 28-31 with events across the country and alumni in Washington, D.C., are invited to connect with their local Elon network!

Tuesday, January 29
6-9 p.m.

National Press Club
529 14th St., NW
Washington, D.C.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Business casual attire.

Alumni will enjoy complimentary appetizers and a cash bar while expanding their D.C. professional network. Lauren Limerick ’09, associate director of corporate and employer relations for the college of arts and sciences, will speak about the Elon Job Network and how alumni can help our current students. Alumni will have plenty of time to network and to help facilitate this, the room will be divided into industry groupings.

In addition to the networking, a handful of experienced alumni will be available to critique resumes. Whether or not you are looking for a job, it is always valuable to have an updated resume on file. The following professionals have valuable advice to offer:

Dave Dziok ’05
Senior Account Supervisor
Edelman

Seth Gleeson ’08
Business Analyst
U.S. Census Bureau

James Shimer ’09
Masters of Health Services Adminstration
George Washington University
James will be on hand to discuss preparing for the graduate school application process: resumes, personal statements and interviewing.
