Free child care for parents

Do you need a night out without the kids?

The Parent’s Night Out (PNO) program offered through the School of Education provides free child care throughout the semester for faculty and staff members. Donations for the service are accepted and are given to the Boys and Girls Club to provide scholarships for children who can’t afford summer and after-school programs.

The Parent’s Night Out Executive Council includes the following students:

  •        Student Director: Leigh Iler ‘14, elementary education major
  •        Family Relations: Sydney Ryals ’16, special and elementary education major
  •        Volunteer Coordinator: Alex Gaul’14, exercise sport science
  •        Curriculum Coordinators: Emma Lindsay ’16, special education and Spanish major;
           Rachel Yates ’16, special and elementary education major

Parent’s Night Out was founded by 2011 Teaching Fellow alumnus Eric Hale in December 2009. Jennifer Fish, assitant director of the Teaching Fellows Program, is the Parent’s Night Out advisor.
