A lecturer in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Born is a retired brigadier general with 30 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. From 2004–13, she served as dean of the faculty for the U.S. Air Force Academy and head of the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership.
