Kevin O’Mara presents research at Academy of Business Education conference

The professor of management discussed innovation solutions for management during his presentation at the annual conference.

Kevin O’Mara, professor of management and executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, presented his research at the 2014 Academy of Business Education conference in Savannah, Ga. The work was titled “Gauging the Impact on Innovation When Considering Creativity as a Multidimensional Construct.” 

The research emphasized that managers should consider the different creative profiles of their employees when designing teams to develop innovation solutions for an organizational problem area. Other topics discussed included approaching and seizing market opportunities.

O’Mara’s research is supported by an Elon CATL grant.

ABE is a multidisciplinary association whose mission includes “enhancing the teaching of business education and improving the learning environment through educational research, curriculum development and creative pedagogy; fostering interdisciplinary interaction through multidisciplinary meetings and programs; and encouraging and supporting faculty development.”
