Samantha DiRosa: Elegies

Appropriated medical terminology study cards, snippets from popular Meg Ryan romantic comedies, and projected video and text about the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe are included in this exhibition. Performing as localized requiems in a sense, the Elon University associate professor’s seemingly dissimilar bodies of work combine to speak poetically to lovesickness, loss, distance and disconnection.
