Beta Alpha Psi inducts new members

Twelve accounting and finance students were initiated into the Lambda Xi chapter of Beta Alpha Psi honor society.

Beta Alpha Psi, an international honorary society for financial information students and professionals, initiated twelve students in a Feb. 10 ceremony. Elon University’s Lambda Xi chapter is hosted by the Department of Accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Students who obtained full membership have maintained a 3.0 GPA overall, have at least a 3.0 GPA in an upper-level finance or accounting class and have been an associate member for one semester.

The Elon chapter of Beta Alpha Psi holds weekly activities relevant to industry topics, connecting educators, professionals and students. BAP sponsors an annual Meet & Greet that provides business students with the opportunity to network with and meet potential employers. Elon’s BAP chapter also provides opportunities for members to provide service through tutoring programs, food drives and Habitat for Humanity.
