Lauren Kearns presents in Belgium

Lauren Kearns, associate professor of dance, presented her somatic research and a dance piece in the International Body-Mind Centering Conference in Ghent, Belgium. 

Lauren Kearns, associate professor of dance and coordinator of the dance program, presented “Somatic Creativity: Utilizing principles of Somatics in Action and Body-Mind Centering to tap into the body’s creative potential” at the International European Conference in Ghent, Belgium May 28-June 1, 2015. Students in her workshop came from Germany, Belgium, Norway and Italy. Kearns also showcased a dance video of her original choreography “The Feathers are Laughing” in the adjudicated dance concert that featured choreographers from the U.S.A, Belgium, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Israel and Slovenia.
