Natalie Taylor Hart designs Fences at Triad Stage

Assistant Professor Natalie Taylor Hart designs scenery for an upcoming production of August Wilson’s Fences at Triad Stage in Greensboro.

Natalie Taylor Hart, Assistant Professor of Performing Arts, is designing scenery for Triad Stage’s production of Fences. The winner of the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, August Wilson’s play explores the evolving African-American experience on the brink of the Civil Rights movement. This production moves slightly beyond its roots in American Realism to explore the nature of community and generational relationships in the Maxson family. The play is directed by Tamera Izlar, Artistic Associate at Triad Stage and will be presented at the Pyrle Theatre in Greensboro from April 10 to May 1.  Special events and speakers are offered at some performances.
