Hart chosen as exhibition finalist in World Stage Design 2017 in Taiwan

Assistant Professor Natalie Taylor Hart has been selected as a finalist in World Stage Design 2017. The WSD2017 Exhibition will take place at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taipei from July 1 to July 9, 2017.

Natalie Taylor Hart, assistant professor in the Performing Arts Department, has been selected as a finalist in World Stage Design 2017. Her entry is the scenic design for “Fences” by August Wilson produced at Triad Stage in Greensboro in April. Her work will be exhibited at the event and in the digital portfolio.

Since its launch in 2005, World Stage Design has attracted thousands of visitors and participants from across the globe. World Stage Design is an event produced every four years which provides attendees and participants with a much anticipated opportunity to experience an inspiring program of theatre design, performances, workshops, seminars and thought-provoking exhibitions.

The jury chose 120 entries for the WSD2017 Professional Designers Exhibition and 60 entries for the WSD2017 Emerging Designers Exhibition, for a total of 180 designs to be displayed from 149 designers across 36 countries. Fifteen of the 120 professional designs represent the U.S.A. The WSD2017 Exhibition will take place at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts at the Taipei National University of the Arts in Taipei from July 1 through July 9, 2017.
