Two music theatre alumni make Broadway debuts in 'The Great Comet'

Kennedy Caughell '12 and Ashley Perez Flanagan '10 make their Broadway debuts in 'Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812.'

Two Elon music theatre alumni are making their Broadway debuts this holiday season in ‘Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812’ at the Imperial Theatre, alongside stars Josh Groban and Denee Benton. ‘The Great Comet’ has been praised thus far as a wonderful work of theatre with an eccentric, clever cast and creative team.

Kennedy Caughell ’12 joins the Broadway company as a Swing. Most recently, Caughell was seen around the country on the National Tour of ‘Wicked’ as the Elphaba Standby. She also recently starred in the Off-Broadway show ‘Chix 6’ as Katie, and on the National Tour of ‘American Idiot’ as Heather.

Ashley Perez Flanagan ’10 makes her Broadway debut as well in the ensemble. Flanagan has been seen regionally around the country at theatres like American Repertory Theatre, in concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center, and she is also the lead singer of her band, ‘Moondrunk.’
