Elon University trustees met on February 27 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.
The Elon University Board of Trustees has taken the following actions regarding promotion and tenure. The Board:
- Granted tenure to Dr. Vanessa Bravo, Mr. Robert Charest, Dr. Geoffrey Claussen, Dr. Alexis Franzese, Dr. Heidi Hollingsworth, Dr. Kristina Meinking, and Dr. Aunchalee Palmquist.
- Promoted Dr. Vanessa Bravo, Dr. Geoffrey Claussen, Dr. Paula DiBiasio, Dr. Alexis Franzese, Dr. Heidi Hollingsworth, Dr. Amy Johnson, Dr. Kristina Meinking, Dr. Svetlana Nepocatych, and Dr. Aunchalee Palmquist, to associate professor.
- Promoted Dr. Janet Cope, Dr. Alexandra Darby, Mr. Michael Fels, Dr. Caroline Ketcham, and Dr. Jean Rattigan-Rohr, to professor.
- Promoted Mr. Clay Stevenson to senior lecturer.
The Board learned that:
- Continuance in lecture track appointment was approved for Dr. Shereen Elgamal and Mr. Harold Vincent.
- Continuance in a continuing track appointment was approved for Mr. Youssef Osman.
- Continuance in a continuing appointment as assistant librarian was also approved for Mrs. Chris Benton and Ms. Harriett Jamane Yeager.
