Two alumni pass Certified Management Accountant exam

Christina Byrd ’18 and Bradley Soule ’18 passed the exam for CMA designation, the global benchmark for management accountants and financial professionals.

Elon accounting alumni Christina Byrd ’18 and Bradley Soule ’18 successfully passed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam, becoming one step closer to receiving the certification from the Institute of Management Accountants.

The CMA is the gold standard of certification in management accounting. Achieving this designation demonstrates professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support and professional ethics.

The two-part exam covers 11 competencies in financial reporting, planning, performance and decision making.

Byrd and Soule will receive their certification after completing the required work experience.

Byrd is a full-time student in the master’s of accounting program at N.C. State University and plans to join RSM after completing the program.

Soule is a site merchandising associate – merchandising analytics at Wayfair in Boston.
