Common Life Church & Farm is seeking student volunteers to help with their garden build.
Common Life Church & Farm is partnered with the local food pantry, S.A.F.E (Southern Alamance Family Empowerment), to build a garden of vegetables, herbs, flowers and pollinators on their property. Their goal is to provide food-insecure members of our community with the opportunity to grow healthy food and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of gardening. Around 10 volunteers are needed for the Garden Build Day on Saturday, April 4th, 9:00am – 12:00pm at S.A.F.E. (5950 NC-87, Graham, NC 27253). There will be opportunities for volunteers of all ages to help build raised beds and fencing, and lay soil, compost, and mulch to get the garden ready for planting.
