The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues. The NFL is headquartered in New York, NY and has additional satellite offices around the country.

There are many opportunities for students and recent graduates at the NFL. The league offers summer internships for rising undergraduate senior students. The summer program covers a minimum of 10 weeks and interns work approximately 40 hours per week. Internship opportunities can include: Studio Operations and Production Management, Media Strategy and Business Development, Corporate and Litigation, International Commercial, Human Resources, Game Operations and Compliance, Football Strategy and Business Development, Football Data and Analytics, Football Communications, Data and Business Intelligence, CRM and Performance Marketing, Community Relations and Social Responsibility, IT Communications, Major Event Operations, and Network Engineering. Even though interns work within specific departments, they are able to explore all aspects of the business through project assignments, speaker presentations, mentoring relationships, and networking opportunities.

Additionally, the NFL offers a Junior Rotational Program, which provides recent graduates with project work assignments, league events, and networking opportunities across various departments. Program participants may complete up to four rotations over a two-year period in any one of the following offices or locations: NFL League Office (NY), NFL Media (CA), NFL Films (NJ), or NFL International Offices. Placement is based on business needs. Departments that have participated in the program previously include: Communications & Public Affairs, Events, Finance, Football Operations, International, Marketing & Sales, Broadcasting, Labor Operations, and Media. The NFL prides itself on the ability to unite people and inspire communities by providing the game of football at the highest professional level.
