Elon University community invited to celebrate Juneteenth with African-American Cultural Arts & History Center

Elon students, faculty, staff and their families are invited to register for tours of the Burlington center on Friday, June 18, to view the "Juneteenth & Black Alamance" exhibition.

Members of the Elon University community are invited to celebrate Juneteenth in partnership with the African-American Cultural Arts & History Center in Burlington.

The African-American Cultural Arts and History Center is dedicated to collecting and preserving Alamance County’s African-American history and offers in-person and virtual exhibits. On Friday, June 18, community members can participate in three 75-minute tours of the center with its featured “Juneteenth & Black Alamance” exhibition. Tours wil be offered at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. The 9 a.m. tour is a special slot reserved for Elon faculty and staff and their families.

Registration for the tours is required and each tour will be limited to 20 people. Registration is available at bit.ly/crede819. Masks are required for the tour.
