Dozens of Latinx/Hispanic seniors gathered May 18 to celebrate their accomplishments and thank their villages for the support they’ve received during the past four years at Elon.

Gaither, an accomplished teacher and scholar, has been a member of the school’s faculty for nearly two decades and has served as interim dean since 2022.

Candidates from graduate-level programs in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education, Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and School of Communications celebrated their achievements during a joint Commencement ceremony May 17 in Alumni Gym.

Sayo Oni has been part of the cast of Broadway’s “Hadestown” since 2021; Candace Rhodes transferred to Elon in 2020 and is drawing attention from productions around the country.

During the May 16 event, the graduate students in Elon University’s Interactive Media master’s program presented their thesis projects to professionals, faculty, staff, family and friends.
