It’d been more than a decade since Amleset Fesahaye hugged her husband and children when they wrapped their arms around each other on April 30, 2024, at Piedmont Triad International Airport.

Among the award recipients were Katy Boehmer-Abbott ’24, who was named Major of the Year, and Cedar Zobel-Williams ’24, who earned the James P. Drummond Service Award.

Ketcham, a professor of exercise science, and Essary, a professor of Italian studies, will provide support for incoming Elon College Dean Hilton Kelly when he joins the university administration on June 1.

Five students were inducted into The Iota North Carolina Chapter of the Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society.
