The railroad crossing at Lebanon and Trollinger Avenues will be closed temporarily on Friday, Aug. 29.
The Oak Avenue Railroad crossing at Lebanon and Trollinger Avenues will be closed for vehicle traffic on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, from approximately 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
There will be extensive maintenance being completed by Norfolk Southern Railroad, so the time may be extended if needed. There will be periodic availability for pedestrians to cross but only with escorts from the working crew.
Elon community members are encouraged to avoid the area during this time.
