Explore simple and flexible ways to support student experiences before the end of the calendar year.
This December, donors have even more options for making a meaningful impact on Elon students. In addition to traditional year-end giving methods, the university also offers a giving tool that allows donors to make stock and donor advised fund gifts completely online, along with the ability to contribute directly from crypto wallets. These added options provide greater flexibility and make supporting student experiences easier than ever.
Other ways to support students this tax year (which ends Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025) include:
- Online credit card gifts. Credit card gifts must be charged by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31 to count for the 2025 tax year. Gifts made through the online giving form are processed immediately and include an instant receipt.
- Gifts of qualified charitable distributions or charitable gift annuities.
- Mailed checks, which must be postmarked Dec. 31 or earlier to be counted for the 2025 tax year.
Each year, contributions help students thrive across campus by supporting scholarships, academic schools and departments, global study programs, athletics and more.
“Year-end giving has always played an important role in strengthening opportunities for our students,” said John H. Barnhill ’92, associate vice president for university advancement. “These tools make it even easier for donors to support the experiences they care about most.”
Donor generosity truly makes a difference for students and keeps Elon moving forward. For questions, please contact John H. Barnhill ’92 at jbarnhill2@elon.edu.
Note: Elon will be closed for the holiday break from Dec. 22-Dec. 26, 2025.
