Kramer, dean of Elon University's School of Law, noted that even has Elon plans to open a new law school in Charlotte, its presence in Greensboro will not change.
Zak Kramer, dean of Elon University’s School of Law, spoke with the Triad Business Journal, about the university’s commitment to it’s law location in Greensboro, amid plans to open a new full-time law program in Charlotte.
“We think special things are happening in Greensboro,” Kramer said. “Greensboro has been our home for a long time. We intend for it to be our home over the longest term.”
Elon’s new law program in Charlotte would be the first law school in the city in nearly a decade.
“The legal community is growing in Charlotte, and so it makes a difference when there’s a law school in a community, when lawyers grow up as lawyers in that community, when they’re trained in that community, where they form networks, mentoring opportunities, opportunities for folks to volunteer,” Kramer said.
