Kathie Niven ’89, president and CEO of Biscuitville, joined the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business for a Lessons from Leaders conversation on leadership, growth and staying true to company values.

The special bond between classmates William Rudd Jr. ’50 and James Robertson ’50 inspired Rudd’s son to make a $100,000 gift to the university.

Members of the Blue Ribbon Commission were jointly appointed by the Governor, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House.

Along with other members of the Penguin Random House Common Reads Advisory Board, Paula Patch, associate director of the Common Reading Program and First-Year Foundations in the Elon Core Curriculum and associate teaching professor of English, facilitated a half-day workshop on launching and sustaining a Common Reading program at the annual Conference on the First-Year Experience in Seattle in February.

The student-run news organization earned national recognition at the Associated Collegiate Press National College Media Conference in San Francisco. The honors highlight the strength of Elon’s student journalism across print, broadcast, digital and design categories.

The third annual event, held March 5 in Snow Family Grand Atrium, showcased student projects and faculty research that advance inclusive storytelling and community engagement.
