Elon University Professor of Political Science and Public Policy Jason Husser offered insights into the peace deal being worked out between Israel and Hamas.
Jason Husser, Elon University professor of political science and public policy, spoke with WXII and WXLV ABC 45 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, about the ceasefire agreement in the war between Israel and Hamas.
Husser spoke with WXII about whether the peace deal brokered by President Donald Trump will last.
“If we see other Middle Eastern countries coming to invest money and time and people into trying to rebuild some of these areas that have been totally devastated, that, to me, suggests that Trump was successful, or at least successful to a large extent,” said Husser. “There’s a 20-point plan. Many of the details of that plan have not been fully fleshed out yet.”
In speaking with WXLV, Husser noted that the 20-point peace plan will be crucial.
“This is a very complex conflict in the world,” Husser said. “I think the key thing is, can people get along well enough to figure out those details beyond those 20 points.”
