Elon’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity celebrated a milestone on May 8th when it dedicated the 25th house built for a family in Alamance County. 

Distance runner Nick Ciolkowski and track champion Sydney Griffin won top honors at the annual banquet held on May 9.

With guidance from faculty and staff in the Student Professional Development Center, strategic communications major Paige Hullett '16 combined her interest in public relations with a passion for acting to secure a summer internship with Davidson and Choy Publicity in Los Angeles.

The Phoenix took the CAA title on May 7, with the conference meet held on campus at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex.

Healthy eating and cooking are the focus of work with Healthy Alamance and the Career and Technical Education Center.

Katherine Shafer ’15, an international studies major from Port Jefferson, N.Y., will spend 11 months teaching English in Taiwan as part of a federal program that promotes mutual goodwill between people of the United States and people of other nations.

Jenna Mason ’16, a special education and middle grades education double major from Wilton, CT, will spend a year teaching English in Thailand as part of a federal program that promotes mutual understanding and good will between U.S. citizens and citizens of other nations.

The 23rd annual Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Awards Celebration recognized students for academic achievement and involvement in the Elon Experiences.

The Town of Elon will hold a document shredding event for the community from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 7.
